I went out to my back pasture this afternoon. My spring is just a little bit of mud and my pond is down to 10% of what it would be when filled.
The ground is dry and cracked. This is the first time in a long time I remember the feds letting farmers cut and hay CRP land. 
People are dusting in their wheat and hoping for rain soon. I won't be putting any food plots in or planting the vetch I wanted to. It would flat be a waste of time and money. So it's gonna be corn feeders only this year. I paid the same for 1000 lbs of feed corn today that I paid for 2000 lbs two years ago.

feed corn and other feeds are high as hell, did't hardly pay to raise hogs this year; only got one and that bastard better weight out at butchering time.
hell my lake is damn low, about 8' I think the last report I seen, I know north of the bridges you could wade across, it's got fucking sand bars almost to the bridges, blue creek that feeds into the lake is dry at the 84th bridge, I've never seen it so low. went out west south west today, lots of dry ponds and creeks. |
My front yard has two big ass cracks in it 
All the ground brick work at the myriad is uneven and sometimes feels like a rollercoaster if im on the cart. Some of the bricks are even trin to separate from the others causing small holes. The sprinkler system doesnt help much either. |
