I'll be in OKC for one night the week of Memorial Day. I've got a job to do downtown, and then I'll be staying somewhere close by in case I have to go back on the job in the morning. What is there to do, assuming it will be 5 or 6PM before I'm done with my job? Any place worth seeing in that short time frame? Recommendations for a place to eat? I'll have a car, so I can drive a little bit if I need to.

Your gonna be a block or 2 north of the crystal bridge. The east side is still being worked on but its open to the public and is much nicer then it was a decade ago. It could be worth your while to scope out the park and the bridhe. Im working that weekend at 8pm each day 
Btw, the bridge and park are full of tropical plant life |

Not worth the price IMO unless you are on an unlimited expense account  .
Texas Roadhouse has pretty good steaks and really great steaks if you pick one at the counter when you come in. The glass case full of steaks are for those who want to pick them out for nice marbling and less fat on the edges. |

The Deputy who got shot was guarding the trip to the Bank's night deposit, that after midnight bank trip was targeted for an armed robbery, so it doesn't really say that much about general security. Our prayers are with the Deputy, although seriously injured he should survive, and luckily the bullet seems to have missed his brain, but he did lose an eye to the bullet.

guess the le's in okc have adopted the politically correct illness, used to be when they were after somebody that shot a cop the media soon reported the subject died in the ensuing gunfight when police tried to apprehend them that went something like this:
"BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG................... BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG....STOP OR WE'LL SHOOT!"
