Natchez Shooter's Supply has Thermould 30 rd mags for the Mini 14 for $11.95. That's a great deal on a decent mag if you want some.
I got 7 of them coming. They aren't as good as the Precision Mags (no longer made) but they are a whole lot cheaper than paying $35 for a Ruger made 30 rounder. |

Minis are.........................................................nah, nevermind ![]() Ya.. I know... I've always had a liking for them. I guess cuz they're too much like a Garand or the M14. They ain't the greatest but mine have always shot OK for a truck gun. |

I like mini's but...... if the mini I once stabled shot as well as Dan's I'd still own it, that fucker I owned was a honest to God scatter gun, even scoped it to only slightly improve groups,
finally gave up on it and traded it off, figured I'd improve it's accuracy by going to an AK, and damned if I wasn't right |

And that Polytech isn't too bad either. But the Mini 14 Ranch I have seems to do OK for the first 5 or 6 rounds pulled rapid fire. I was gonna send it off and get it cryoed and still haven't done it. That is supposed to take a lot of the heat warpage out of them and keep the groups tighter when hot. The new Mini 14 have a much thicker and stiffer barrel under the handguard now. So they do better. I almost bought a Valmet 76 in 223 years ago. I wanted to but was short the cash. For a folding stock AK it put the damn rounds in the target like a scoped bolt. But this Mini 14 Ranch I have is OK.
I put a 1.25x-4x Red dot, 30 mm scope with Warne QD rings and it shoots all right for a truck gun. |
