watched the movie this evening, pretty decent flick.
reminded me of a western, kinda like dances with wolves/thunderheart/hondo/custer with a bit of return of the jedi thrown in. |

Dances with Wolves my aching ass. The plot line on Avatar is stranger comes into an alien tribe, and saves the tribe in an actual battle. A Man Called Horse plot if I ever saw one. Throw in the chopper scenes and hero fighting a bad ass and winning, and you have Apocalypse Now. As far as the Star Wars crap, I think it is more a a Starship Trooper scenario. I can tell you guys are not students of the film industry. Aren't you glad I straightened you out?
Don't bother to say Thank you. You're welcome anyway. |

Personally I think "Dances with Smurfs" kicked ass. I have only watched it in BluRay though. I would say a cross betweenLast of the Mohicans and Dances with wolves. With just a dash of Aliens thrown in. Fun movie. I think I will watch it again tonight. Saw it in the theatre, it was kick ass, actually went three times, twice at Moore in their Grand Auditorium and once at Quail Springs in their Imax, didn't see anything special about Imax there. Now have the Blueray and the colors and detail are even clearer. Awesome Movie in IMO. |
