Are there any AK builders out there that do high quality work that can headspace barrels and work with M70 type trunnions?  Steve

If you have a complete kit with the front trunnion matching the serial number on the barrel, then you really don't have to worry about it. I've built quite a few AKs and have never had trouble with headspacing when it came to matching kits.
As far as someone chambering an AK with virgin parts and headspacing it properly, you'll be hard pressed to find one here close by.

Thanks Dan. I am looking for someone that can use disassembled parts and a barrel pressed off the trunnion.

Is the barrel, trunnion, and bolt off the same gun?
Every AK I have built has had the gun's serial number on the trunnion, barrel, and bolt. All of mine have worked great.
Ndenway may come along and tell you the same thing.
I've known others to use mismatched parts and not had any problems as far as head spacing.
But if the matching AK kit has been totally disassembled, then it's nothing to assemble to a receiver. Drill the holes, put in the rivets, push in the barrel, set the barrel pin, assemble and shoot.

like Dan said, you're gtg on headspacing as long as the barrel/trunion numbers match, if not then it doesn't hurt to check it with a gng gauge before pressing the pin back in.

These are mismatched kits. Looking for some alternatives to getting them built. NDS receivers (bulge type), mismatch trunnion and mix of US and Yugo barrels. Steve

Trying to look in state for now. We have already queried a few other places to include one in TX. I may come back to you on it. Steve
