Well on a side note manybe he made enough with the raised prices and such to retire and get along with his life without fear of BATFE involvment. I wish him the best. Tis a shame though. I always enjoyed diggen through stuff to find a deal. But hey its not like hes going out of business, yet anyway.

ETA . . . And so it begins . . . .

I'm thinking there's a back story behind this that hasn't come out yet.

He's been complaining about the ATF for a long time.
They can make your life miserable with audits, etc. They can make you spend weeks and even months on the littlest discrepancy in your log books.

I just hope more "ma and pa" shops don't follow suit.  They are fun to visit and hang out in.  I'll still go dig through the surplus this week just for fun.

Thats a shame. That was my favorite gun store in the city.........

Huh? I've only been there a couple of times. Buying some surplus gear and a couple spam cans of nasty corrosive Tiawan M2 ball.

Isn't the 'Mark' that runs Brigadoons the same 'Mark' that used to run a gunstore in Edmond back in the early 90's?

Seems as if the store was named "Mark's Surplus" or some-such.

No clue on that one.  Sumo grew up in Marks shop though, so he will probably be able to tell you.

I love going there when I'm in OKC, just rooting around and looking at all of the stuff.

If he does decide to close up shop I hope we get plenty of notice.

Sure would be a shame though.

I don't think he is closing shop, I just think he has decided NO MORE gun sales.  Sounds like the ATF is making things scary for "Ma and Pa" shops.

Ditto....I bought my first AR there as well.  Later it was a sweet ass 44 mag that caught my eye.

I've bought a number of guns and other things from them. Stopped shopping there when the prices skyrocketed during the Obama rush, but it's sad that they're not selling guns anymore. That's going to have a hit on their business, i'm afraid.

No more FFL items for the Brig.  It was decided that they are going to do surplus items, ammo, etc. from here on out.  It will be odd not seeing guns in there.

Yes, Brigadoons and the old Army Surplus store in Edmond was both Mark's.  The surplus store had his stuff in there and was managed by a mutual friend.

WM, I am sure you are right.

That is still a damn shame.  Me, you and Brigadoon have all been on my wifes shit-list a bunch in the past.  Where we gonna get into trouble now???

Yep, Nden whipped me like a step child.
He wouldn't have done it with a Glock.
He's too afraid they might blow up.
