and it was Goddamned good fried up approx 8lbs of crappie, 8lbs of sandbass and 5lbs of saugye fillets coated in a simple dry mix of 5cups cornmeal, 3cups white flour with black pepper, salt and cayanne pepper to taste, with black eyed peas, potato salad and a couple of bottles of coke on the side. didn't even think of taking pics, but hell ya'll know what fried fish, blackeyes and potato salad look like. |

I've got two bags of crappie in the freezer that I was trying to talk my wife into fixing today.
I guess I'll have to do it. We use to bring back bags and bags of trout from NM but we quit going after I started having all the knee replacements and chest crackings. Man, that trout is so good.... I wish you had taken pictures, Brother L. If I had some to show my wife, she might fix 'em up. I already got the corn meal and other goodies mixed up. Oh, use mustard, egg, and milk for the dip. The mustard, especially a hot type, makes it taste all that much better. Plus it takes the fishy smell out of cooking. |
