I am looking at the Model 1 Sales Varmint Uppers.  I was wondering if any one here has ever delt with them before and how good are their products?  Looks like their uppers are about half the price of RRA.  In thiis case are you getting what you pay for?   Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

A bud of mine uses one, and it is fairly accurate.  I use a Bushmaster Ultra Varmint myself.

Yes you will get exactly what you pay for. Call me when your bolt snaps in half. (Yes I am speaking from experience, lots of experience with Model 1's parts)

My .02 = I would call Pete at legal Transfers here on the forum and see what he can do for you. He only deals in quality parts and his prices can not be beat anywhere for the parts provided.

I need a little more info on Pete.  I can't find anyone named Pete on the transfers list.

I've got one with the 1:8 16" ff ss hvy barrel, it's a pretty decent shooter, have had issues with the lpk and bolt/carrier.

My AR is a M1S upper. I haven't had any issues with the quality of parts in it. I shoot the sh*t out of it and my only problem is my lack of proper cleaning and lubing of it. Chrome lined chamber and bore, M4 feed ramps, 16" barrel, 1-9 twist...all the good stuff....although I have read alot about the bolts not being as good as Bushys but as of yet I haven't had any problems with it. If it does break its a fairly cheap fix you can do to it.

That and the fact that last time I talked to Model 1 about a week ago everything they sell is about a six month wait because of the rush on everything AR.
