I just wanted to show off my new toy. I have always wanted one. I got my form 1 and barrel in the last week for my USC. Threw it all together today. I like it alot. I especially like that it is direct blowback so I can shoot cast lead bullets without clogging any gas tube up. The barrel is traditional rifling as well so cast bullets won't cause pressure issues. I have no need for cooling slots since it is not full auto and actually prefer the clean look without them. The buttstock is a top notch stock. I want to get a factory HK as they are much nicer but it is hard to come by them right now. Her she is:

I got the USC off of gunbroker. The UMP FBI lower, stock block, barrel, and hinge pin from HDPS.org. The stock from top notch parts. I had HDPS enlarge the hooks on the lower for $35 so it would mate with the USC upper. I also had Ed fill in an area with polymer where I think the auto sear goes so it can never be used for full auto (it was an extra $25). A friend of mine enlarged the hole in the upper for the mags to accommodate the larger mags. I could have done it but he had done his and likes doing that sort of stuff. |
