Anybody got a load for the 308 with 165s or 168s that they really like?
Ndenway, Josh L, lifestar?
I've got 7 loads already done to try out but I'm still looking for some more suggestions.
I've got about 500 cases sized, cleaned, prepped and primed ready to powder up and seat bullets in.
So, what's your favorite powder and amount?
(I'm using Federal brass and primers, Hornady 165 BTSP and 168 SMKs.)
Thanks.

Ya know I heard from the the fudds at the gun shop if you shapen pencils and stick them in with just a primer you can acheive 1/4 " groups out to 600 meters.

Win brass, CCI BR2 primers, SMK 168's with 42.6 of IMR 4064 was my old load.  Still haven't had time to get back out to the range and play with the 155's.

I thought I had a decent load until I was at the range yesterday and met a fellow that was complaining about .25 inch groups at 100 yards.  I just put my stuff up and watched.

I should have know when I saw the Harrells powder measure and runout gauge hooked to the bench next to the loading press.

I really don't like shooting next to bench resters.
You get rigged up like that then some guy shows up with an old press and spoons, loads at the range, and shoots 20 rounds into one hole.......

I just got 600 rounds of once fired Fed brass. I uniformed the primer holes, deburred the flash hole, chamfered the inside and outside of the mouth, then sized and primed them.
I didn't even measure them or cut them to a uniform OAL.
I'll do that the second time around when I neck size them.
So, you're using TAC powder. How many grains and with what bullet?
