I need help searching for a thread.  It's in the Suppressor forum and posted by bigbore.  It's a thread where he put an Ops Inc can on a 7.5 inch barrel.  I would like to read it again but can't find it.  I guess it's too old now.  Can someone help a brother out?

I watched the video, Impressive!
I was at the range when one member here had his new 6.8 rifle and suppressor there.
That was the most impressive rifle can I've ever been around.
Very quiet!

That link won't bring anything up.  I guess I have to pay to read it unless someone bumps the thread up.

I wanted to see the pictures of what the flash hider looked like afterward and see how he said it ran and what not.  I'm considering building something similar but I'm worried it will be too hard on the can.

Here are the post he made in that thread. There are no pics just a chart and a video

I was invited the other day to help T&E the new Geissele trigger. A few thousand rounds of someone elses ammo and their lower. I couldnt remember the "specifics" of the infamous G5 test, so we guessed.

Either way, the 14th passed with no problems. We ran 7 mags to begin with before getting kicked off the range. Then we drove to a friends and repeated with 10 mags(all we had). The only down side was I used loctite instead of rockset on the mount, and the loctite must have burnt away, as whe I removed the can it took the mount with it.

Ha, got in before the Ops haters did!

Ok, two questions.

1) The ear muffs are because of the roof and not because the can is just plain loud?

2) Is the 14th model more comparable to the 12th or the 15th in size and weight?

I'm sure they will be along soon

Everyones ears are different. ANY suppressor on a barrel shorter than 18" hurts my ears. I'm not the shooter in the vid, but he also felt the need for hearing protection.

12th model weighs 21oz and adds 6.5" beyond the muzzle when mounted
15th model weighs 17oz and adds 5.25" beyond the muzzle when mounted
14th model weighs 15oz and adds 4.5" beyond the muzzle when mounted

the 12th is significantly quieter(and bigger) than the 14th and 15th. There is a 2db difference between the 15th and 14th models. Depending on your ears, you may or may not be able to tell them apart.

My measurements are from the bolt face, to the end of the suppressor. When I say 5.25" added its 5.25" measured from the bolt face beyond the end of the barrel.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean from the bolt face. What are you refering to when you mean from the bolt face? I'm thinking of a bolt as in the bolt from a bolt carrier group and I'm confused. Am I on the same page?

We're on the same page. Per ATF - a barrel length is measured from the bolt face. If you close the bolt on an AR w/11.5" barrel, drop a cleaning rod down - it will measure 11.5" from the bolt face to muzzle. If you add the OPS 14th model, the total OAL will be 16" - measured from the bolt face to the endcap of the can. I dont measure flash hiders/brakes as they are different sizes - but measuring from the bolt face is a constant measurement any way you look at it.
