Anybody from the Shawnee area? I've lived in OK all my life (minus a year in WI on the job) but can't say I ever remember going through there. And definitely not recently. Decent place to live? Total craphole? Any local shenanigans specific to the area, that a feller ought to know about if considering a move? Thanks... |

| Shawnee is OK , the people are only mildly inbred. Other than the fact that Wyattearp lives there I would buy into Shawnee. They do have a maximum allowable tooth count of 7 (some Baptist preacher told the locals it was a holy number)...and everyone is waaay under that (aint that right wyattearp?)....You can't cheat and have them pulled though, they have to rot out naturally or fall out due to meth use : ) |

Oh you can guarantee that I know about the Chickasha swap meets. 1 at the fairgrounds (pre-war its coming up pretty soon) spring and fall meets BESIDE the fairgrounds (fall one especially is huge) and a smaller one around august at the musclecar ranch. I generally make them all.

Nah Shawnee is pretty decent but the meth heads are getting a little outta hand but where in Oklahoma are they not? I have not been to cow town since about 1998 and back then it was THE place to get laid used to have all kinds of steaming hot chicks in it. I hate to hear that it has gone down hill I aint allowed or at least wasnt allowed in there any more that big coon skin hat wearing dude had to escort me outta there more than once for fighting (all one of my ex's fault) and he told me I didnt play well enough with others. He was a nice enough fella he just got tired of escorting my dumb ass out of there every friday night but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away that shit hurts too much anymore besides my current wife does a damned good job at keeping me outta trouble. I think nowadays everybody hangs out at hot rods over on harrison where harry bears used to be. I havnt ever been in there because thats where my wifes POS meth head non child support paying ex hangs out at and I am afraid if I was to get a little too much rocky mountain spring water in me I might have a relapse of my old cowtown days and not be allowed in there either. |
| Hey wingman I have only been back in town for a little over a year now is there any good shooting spots around I thought about asking the PD if they mind if I use theyre range since I am an LEO dont know if they would even let me and aint even seen theyre range anyway. I moved back to Shawnee from Lexington so when I was there I was only a hop from the WMA but I dont even know what I got around me in Shawnee. I live east of town out by Buggs salvage and we have 5 1/2 acres but not realy good for shooting on except for real short range stuff. I need to hire a dozer and have me a shooting burm buildt. |
