I have a friend who has a wife that wants to carry a pistol in her vehicle for self defence.  Can she do this legally, like in MO, or what are the stipulations?

Thanks

Unless she has a concealed carry permit that Oklahoma will recognize, it's against the law.

IIRC, Oklahoma recognizes ANY state's valid concealed weapons license.

I believe it is legal for Oklahomans who do not have a CCL to transport a handgun in the vehicle as long as it is NOT CONCEALED and NOT LOADED. The ammo does not have to even be locked up. Please check the regulations but I think this is correct.

thats my understanding.
but i have never heard of a officer in Ok giving a reputable citizen a hard time about it.

first.
why would she give consent to search??
what reason would she give to let them search w/o her consent.

The real issue is if even if their is a way to work around it in a "legal" way.
If you don't have a ccw how legal is it going to be if she uses a pistol to defend herself?
Don't get me wrong i beleive in defending yourself by any and all means necesary ......

Just seems like it's easier to play by the bullshit rules and get the ccw if your going to carry.
