Need a head count so I can call around and see about lodging accomidations. Should be a hell of a time. Not to mention the all you can eat BBQ. This should give you enough time to get your paper work in order for the trip. If you want to test out some cans this is your chance.

Also if some of you guys want to car pool we can get that set up as well. I for one would rather spend my $$ on ammo instead of Gas.

Feel free to contact myself or Firebug for any questions and details.

The range consists of several dedicated ranges.

We have an archery range
Two rifle ranges. One goes out to 300M with a steel gong. The other goes to 200M. There are also two dedicated pistol ranges
There is one clay range as well up on the hill.

All ranges are lit and covered. With the exception of the range we will be on. We will be shooting on the service rifle range IIRC so that means we will be parking there within the range and you should expect to see a lot of trucks backed up to the line for tailgate usage. Stephen is a first class cook so the BBQ will be awsome as always. The last shoot we had food left over for weeks it seemed like.  It is all you can eat.

The Class III group of the East TX Rifle and Pistol Club will be having a shoot on September 29th at our range in Longview. The range is very machinegun friendly so bring 'em if you got 'em. No 50bmg (since the city of Longview is a few miles down range) and no tannerite. 40mm is welcome (blue tips and stuff only, no pyro rounds). BYOB but I will be BBQ'ing all day. I'm sure we will have an after shoot get together somewhere so bring your adult beverages for after the shooting is over.

Not sure about camping (HKpre86?) but I'm sure some of us will be back Sunday morning to clean up and/or do some more shooting.

HKpre86 is trying to plan some sort of subgun match and Smallchange is working on some sort of accuracy shooting (300 yards is our longest range). I'm not sure about entry fee to the matches, we haven't really figured that out yet. There should be a number of different silencers laying around to listen to and there could possibly be some testing equipment on hand but that's not a sure thing yet.

The gate into the range is automatic and you have to have a card to get in, so you will need to email me and get my cell number to call once you arrive so someone can let you in.

Ok, quick update....

Here are the prices as I understand them (I'm not in charge of that)

$20 for the subgun match (includes $10 general entry & $10 for prize money & targets)

$15 for the precision match (includes $10 general entry & $5 for prizes & targets)

$10 for all the BBQ you can eat (planning on ribs, chicken, pork chops, brisket, pulled pork, pork loin, brats, smoked sausage, hot links, beans, maybe some tater salad or cole slaw or something like that and french bread)

BYOB!!  That includes water, cokes, etc..

The match entry fees include open shooting.  If your not going to shoot in either match and want to just shoot on the open line, it's $10.  That $10 will go towards whatever target stand we destroy and any leftover is explained below.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those of you who don't know, our club (etrpc.com) has recently purchased an additional 200 acres of adjoining land.  They have assured us that part of this land will be used for a Class III/ tactical training area.   ALL of the extra proceeds are going to be used in the developement of this area.   Even any extra money I may have from the food (not likely) will go to this cause.   I assure you we are going to build a first class facility and will have many shoots in the future.

Anyone wanting to rent machineguns or just sell stuff (as in tables of stuff for sale), contact Jim Rogers @ [email protected]

As I said earlier, no 50bmg, no pyro rounds (any caliber), no explosives, no tannerite.
40mm stuff is fine.  Sub Cal conversions on rocket launchers are fine, practice rounds from a mortar would be fine, etc...   Jim will probably have his golf ball cannon just for fun.  I was hoping to have a mortar built but I haven't even started it yet.

It has also been confirmed that www.silencerresarch.com will be there with metering equipment to informally test silencers.   As you can imagine, this won't be a great environment to test cans in a scientific way but it will be a fun excercise anyway.

You will need to PM me to get my cell phone number to get into the gate once you get to the range.  The gate works on a key card and without a key card, you have to have someone let you in.   There are bathroom facilities within a couple of hundred feet of where we are shooting.  Based on the reaction from all of the DFW guys who have been here, we have quite an impressive facility.

Bring those small folding tables if you have them.   They will be needed.  Bring your own chairs as well.

OH, and that prize money for the subgun shoot your thinking of taking home...forget about it.  My new M11 is ready so I'll be taking that back to Henderson with me.

I don't mind it one bit

I'm doing it the next weekend though, about the same distance for an offroad trip.

I'd really like to test out my new can, probably just do it here though.

You have testing equipment and other brand / model silencers to test?

Guys this is going to be a nice shoot with plenty of hard to find hardware for you to finger fuck including several different belt feds. AOW's SBS. DD's etc. No bullshit.
Not to mention the all day BBQ and Beers afterwards. I for one am looking forward to shooting an actual G36 again. This is not one to miss if you have the time.

If you can't make it you will be missing out.
