Is Norman the closest VA hospital to Chickasaha? How is their orthopod clinic? How does state medical assistance work there? How long before I could get coverage to get my leg treated? |
I think that one is in the same building as OMH, the one in norman is on east robinson and ne 24th street, but I don't know if they do any medical or not, I thought it was just a home/hospiecs center, my bro lives over by there and theres always EMS/NFD ambulences running hot back and forth outta there 24/7. |
Yep, thats the closest VA HOSPITAL. I've been there for various things about 8 or 9 times over the last 2 years. I dont like the place. Its a sad, dark, dismal place. When I first retired 2 years ago, I was there for my VA physical. there was a 273 year old vet in a wheelchair, looked like he weighed 77 lbs. Had his WWII Navy hat on. Looked up at me and said "what the fucks wrong with you? god damn kids arent as tough as they used to be". I let it go. There's a new VA Clinic on Ft Sill. Which would be closer for you. They don't do everything there. Thats where most of us go for our annuals to stay in the system and get our meds through the mail. You can use them for everyday care (if you're eligable) if you want. |

How far from Chikasah is Ft. Sill? Googe maps is not being friendly to me today.
