Just how many ex-Okies or out-of-staters do we have lurking or posting on the OK Hometown Forum? I know we have ex-Okie cowboydave posting every once in a while. And soon-to-be an Okie richard. Anybody else?

I know it's really bad when some of you call me up to gloat over the phone when you've kicked my ass good here on the HT Forum!  And on top of that, the Nden is waiting for the perfect opportunity to ambush me! It's like stepping in a minefield every time I post anymore!  No, I've got a bro in PA that is a LEO in a large town. I'm trying to get him to post here but he's thinks he would be the only one from out of state. I told him he is welcome, that this crew is rowdy and funnier than hell! If he sees some other from out of state post, he will start visiting with us. He's funny as hell, got a great heart, and would get along great! Besides, I need a back up! |

 Huh?If you mean Old Bud, yeah, he is! And he does believe in mountain lions in Oklahoma too! That's why he bought his Marlin 30/30 8 or 9 years ago. His place is so thick on 90% of it you can't walk through it. He wouldn't go out at night because of some things that happened. The dogs would go under the house and wouldn't come out until the morning. You were right, ACman! We should have left him in his home to die. He isn't very happy in the nursing home!

I wish some of the other OK members would post here more often. This forum gets dead quick, like the AZHTF, debacle after debacle, bitch sessions galore, and then everyone just disappeared. Sadly, my best friend and his wife stopped posting there, too I don't blame them, but I don't blame staff here either. It was one of those situations where I wanted to say something, but had to stay neutral. [The above is referencing the AZHTF, not here - just illustrating the lack of activity and went into tangent mode] One of the absolute best features of AR15, IMO, are the home town forums. I wish more people posted in them more often. Not only is the comradrie supreme, but the local information is really neat to read, even when it doesn't directly apply to an out-of-towner. And the OKHTF in particular is about the friendliest bunch of critters I've yet to meet. I can't wait to buy all of y'all a beer and steak when I get there. |

what the hell man, I'm running low on ammo and your trying to buy me off with beer and a kcstrip...................................but I guess thats alright, throw in a loaded baked tater and we can forgo the ammo this time. hell I just looded at the FPS on that ammo, 1200 to me indicates its either some warmed up 40S&W 155s or 9mil pills, either one would work in a heartbeat, 40 for my ccw and 9mil for my AK.

I married an Okie and Love the State of Oklahoma. My wife called me an "Onery Okie" or "Honorary Okie" I am not sure which. I have a belt buckle with "The Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma" I plan on buying some land and retiring there. I do not want to start a war but I like OU and my wife likes OSU. I also like Texas a lot but consider it a southern suburb of Oklahoma. |

I'm a Pennsylvanian, stationed at Tinker AFB, so I'm an out-of-stater. Been here since May 2002, leaving for S. Korea August 2007. I'm torn between coming back here, or going to Germany/Italy after Korea, and hoping I can get Tinker again after that. In the meanwhile, I'm trying to stockpile some AKs for, worst case scenario, when I come back and they're not cheap or even worse banned. |
i know the feeling, man. i'm tryng to figure out someone here that can get things taken care of here while i'm gone. my theory is, that the closer we get to 2008, the more expensive EVERYTHING will be, so i'm trying to figure out what to do myself. i, myself, am trying to figure out who i can trust to sign for ammo and such while i'm gone. BTW, how's the AF going? probably shound have joined them to start with.......seems warmer.... |
