I've lived in this state for most of my 54 years. I've never seen this kind of white ice all over and so damn deep. I've got it at least 4" in my front yard with a drift of 30" in one corner of the front porch. The main roads aren't bad but the side streets are the drizzlin' shits!

1shott, went to Home Depot tonight to get some key blanks cut. They told me they couldn't cut my blanks - they have transponders in them. So I bought one and the guy cut it and my two with the transponders. Saved me a lot of cash!!!
The dealership wants $150 to $175 for the keys. I bought two off of ebay for $38 that were uncut. Once I got them cut, I had to program them to the truck which wasn't hard to do. So I got $40 invested in extra keys for my Dodge that the dealer would have charged a ridiculous price for.
I guess I got lucky cuz the guy helping me was willing to work with me.   I'll bet you're doing just as good at your Home Depot!

Been in the state all my life, remember some bad winters and ice but not like this.

Here are a few pics from work, garage was solid 3" of ice, about 2 acres, had fun with a bobcat.

Wednesday night and Thursday morning, the roads were the worst I've ever seen.  I guess the top layer melted just a bit and created an absolute mess!  I did two 5 mph 180's, and had to do a few runs to get anywhere!

no shit, man from where I park at my house down to the main paved road (1/3 mile) is treacherous as hell,

my neighbor's wife slid their truck right down their driveway, across the road into a bar ditch yesterday morning, took a semi sized wrecker to pull their truck out,

this morning I slipped, fell and slid down about a 100' in my front yard like a turtle on its back,

now the weather mans talking about up to 14" of snow on friday and saturday, damn sure hate to call into work saturday and sunday, but I don't want to mess around trying to drive on these country roads when they're covered in an ice/snow combo either.

Hell, I have been driving the wifes car with front wheel drive, traction and all that new stuff--what a difference that is over driving my truck, even with weight in the back!  Never drove anything but a truck until this came along.

I've been in and out of 4WD several times when I got out amongst 'em. The limited slip rear end in my new truck does make one hell of a difference. But one good thing about it, my road to the farm is so slick the bitch next door can't get out to the county road.
If I get lucky, maybe she'll freeze to death or starve! If she comes out of her drunken stupor  because she ran out of booze, maybe her brother/cousin/husband will shoot her sorry ass for bitching!
I'll never get that lucky!!!!!
I've got chains in the garage for my truck. Going to Colorado and New Mexico in the winter time they won't let you go over some passes unless you have chains on the vehicle.
They might get put on this week!
Ndenway, I've been damn careful out on that white ice! One slip the wrong way and I could be one f**ked duck with my leg still healing!

Guys, Be Careful!
