I don't want it to rain on my days off, I was having dinner with a friend way up NE of my house this afternoon, when she has a bit of family drama, so I booked and cruised on over to the kickapoo casino and proceede to lose a few bucks, I could feel the temperture drop soon as I walked out and the wind was blowin hard and swirling round, I take off and just about get to I-40 I get caught in a deleuge for about 3/4 a mile,

it was some of that hard stinging rain and cold too, I get to 40 and its bone dry, no rain fell to the south, good thing too, I was nearly dry by time I reached firelake, ran into some people I work with, they told me I smelled like a wet dog,

so it can rain all it wants too now, I gotta go back to work tomarrow, if its nice....I'll ride, if not, thats what I got a car for.

I've been watching the radar all evening, and it looks like the really hard, crappy line has moved on into AR/MO, but there's a big glob of rain pushing this way from TX...will either hit around morning or fizzle out.

I just watched the news, doesn't look like we're getting any rain here anytime soon, I might be riding some more this week, whats funny is, I live 1 1/2 miles from where I work as the crow flies, but I have to drive 17 miles to get there.

but I'll take some rain, my last apple tree died,  my pecan and apricot trees are doing fine, so I don't know if it was the drought or disease that killed both of them, my pops planted both apples back in 75' and they produced truckloads full every year till last year,

I do have a hell of a lot of eastern red cedars, damn things are growing all over, I been running over them with a lawn mower, but their so tall now I'm going to have to axe them down, things are a pain in the ass, and kill any tree that grows near them.

Damn a hell of a storm just moved through, lots of hail, the stuff is piled up everywhere...

Also found a couple leaks in my roof  to, sweet, leaks around the vent stacks for the furnace and hot water heater, dont know if it was just due to the amount of water we got or not. Going to have to have it looked at.

I must be getting what just left your place then. Who the hell can sleep with all that racket going on? But then again you probably don't got a metal roof.
