If your in the OKC area call Outdoor America, talk to Bob Mowles. Trust me, I had him order a Bushmaster A3, for me, EVEN THOUGH the store is out of .223 type rifles. A better number to call is 405-789-0506. This number gets through, not like the main store number with a wonderful hold message!!!!!!! This number is ONLY for ordering or questions about mechandise or orders for your wants. Good Luck!!! Down here in Houston, AR's are a sellers market. Most of my buddies buy their Bushy's at Academy stores but they sell faster than greased lightnin'!!!!!!!!!!! |

Best price and best service. They also have Bills pawn's FFL on file in Purcell, Ok. www.quanticoarms.com/asp/itemDetail.asp?dispItemNum=676&type=M&CMN=ArmaLite&CMNum=19&CMSNum=78&CMSN=M15%20(AR15)%20Rifles |
The last I knew, the reason for this thread, www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=25&t=174999, was to give people an alternative to Attitude America. |

Johnny_Nitro, I just know when the price is right and the service is right I tell people about it. Sorry to OFFEND YOU........I didn't know Outdoor America got your feathers ruffled!!!! I do know this, since I've moved to Houston Outdoor America(Guns),Mathis Brothers(Furniture) and even B.C. Clarks(Jewelry) kicks the *%$@ of of Houston Prices. I make a H*&^ od alot more money in Houston than back in Oklahoma and I'm smart enough to make it last. Unfortunately here in Houston people who have money pay just about any price...No questions asked. Example 1. Man walks into a gun store(Carters Country),walks up to counter, I'll take two and ammo to match. Pays CASH,these were Colt ARs, comes back in about 10 minutes later and asks the clerk to show him how to cock the gun, never had one but wants to go with buddies to gun range. Example 2. Dodge Dealer. I walk up,test drive the truck(Dually) get into the show room, ask how much...REALLY HOW MUCH? Salesman tells me NO DISCOUNT, can sell them at sticker price, don't like it,go else where. P.S. I'm not a spokes person for Academy either, but when they've got Bushys in stock I let others in Houston know!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way I THOUGHT this forum was about ANY ARand the discussion of them!!!!! |

I will never step foot in Outdoor Attitude again either. My advice would be to build the lower yourself. It is very simple. Then have JTAC build you an upper just the way you want it. That's what I did... twice. My next one I ordered the parts from JTAC and I'm going to try and do the upper myself. |
I can't believe that the Asshole America shill can't find a SINGLE transfer dealer in the entire Houston area. |
I agree most of those guys are pricks, but there are a couple who are okay to deal with. I go there, because the prices, as a whole, are better than most other places. Except for the 5000 round my brother-in-law and I bought at Outdoor Outfitters for $15.99 a box (6 weeks ago). ![]() |
I cannot see why or how someone can in good faith and clear conscience support and out and out beat the drums for Asshole America over the members of this forum. When was the last time Outdoor Assholes hosted a shindig where you could use your NFA toys and set off Tannerite? Anyone? Have they sponsored ANY local shooting events? I don't see how they're any better than Wal-Fart or Academy. In fact, I think one of my 401K's funds is tied up in Wal-Fart stock -- I'll start shilling for them every time cowboydave starts beating the drums for Asshole America. WAL-FART: SPECIAL ORDER GUNS, RELOADING, OIL CHANGES, BABY BATH, AND HOTDOGS. WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE? In fact, Wal-Fart special ordered and received a Browning rifle that Attitude America didn't have in stock for me last year at a CHEAPER price than Attitude America offered if they could get it. GO WAL-FART, OR GO HOME. |

I do get it....and I agree that a person or oganization that supports your hobby is the one to go with. I also support stores over internet buying....why......tax base. By the way, when I buy in Oklahoma I DON"T have it shipped to avoid sales tax. I support city and county funding. |
Example #1 Example #2 If I could go back further, I'm sure I could find other examples. |
Just imagine......someone may have a different opinion than you, I like Outdoor America. Guess what....... I'm not wrong to do so. You don't like them...guess what..... you're not wrong to do so. Like I've said before, some of the dudes there, including the owner are assholes, but some of the guys are okay, and I will continue to do business with them. |
I absolutely cannot understand the logic in supporting shitheads, vice supporting independent dealers who WANT our business. ![]() cowboydave goes FAR beyond simply having an opinion of Attitude America: he is a SHILL. |
Johny I apreciate you mentioning my name as well as I'm sure the others do. But you may have more hostilitys towards some buisness's "like the bullet trap" than I do. Wich is a bad thing watch your blood pressure man. Remember you told me "the bullet trap" was professional compared to the other place in question and that's something I just cant imagine. I love a good argument though so you guys continue on. ![]() |
I don't have hostility towards Outdoor Assholes; I look for them to go the same way as Southwest Shooters, Mashburn Arms, and Sports Unlimited/OKC Sports/Jumbo Sports. They'll fail, I have no doubt. On the other hand, I have a little hostility towards someone whose SHILLING is hardly disguised. You'd think he gets a kickback every time he posts their name and contact information.

I don't like OA either, however if someone has had good deals with them let them post. Really what does it hurt? It could be Houston just really SUCKS ASS compared to OKC. We could move to Houston and then WISH we had a AO store there. Man, would that suck. ![]() IMO, AO prices are as good as they used to be and their selection isn't either. But I really don't patronize them much anymore either. |
