I sent out my upper to ADCO to get it swap to an A3. I sent it out on the 20th which sunday (yeah I gave it to a friend who work at UPS and he shipped out for me early on Monday morning) but I forgot to send a new gas tube with it.  well my question is... Does is neccessary to change the old gas tube? I have shot about 2000 rounds through it already.

thanks in advance.

No need to change the gas tube at 2000 rds. I have had far more rounds through mine without a problem. Anyway, you can replace the gas tube yourself. No need to take the barrel or FSB off. Just punch out the roll pin in the FSB, pull the gas tube to the rear (may be a little tight), then pull it forward to the side of the FSB. Install the new one in reverse order. HTH
