| Hi all, haven't posted here in awhile. My 15 year old son wants to take a carbine course. I told him I would do it with him if I could find one. Does anyone know of any carbine courses where a 15 year old can participate? I don't mind driving a few hours. I'm on the Middle Peninsula and work in Richmond. Thanks! |

Moving to the area... Glad to see a couple of Pat's haunts are within a couple hours - time for more training! Any other big name trainers do much in VA? |

Pat Rogers at EAG Tactical is always an excellent choice.
If you are willing to travel and spend a couple of days Tactical Defense Institute in Ohio is another excellent choice. The following suggestion must come with a disclaimer - I am the lead instructor for Green Ops. If you live in or near the NOVA area Green Ops maybe a good option for you. Currently we operate out of the NRA Range and the Culpeper 4H. At the NRA we hold a 4-5 clinic. At the 4H we have a full 8 hour training day. $35 of every course fee at the 4H goes to support the youth program We would be honored to train you and your son. |

I was in a pistol class with Mike, the Director of Training at Green Ops, and he came across as knowing his stuff, both as far as technical and instruction. |
