How will F3 stay in business with these guys only a few doors down? Is it just different markets they're looking for, considering F3 doesn't have an FFL? Which I always thought was strange that F3 has not gotten a FFL yet. I thought they had said they were planning on getting one when they were first opening. |

Talked to the owner on opening day (Monday) seems like a nice guy. They had a shop or a space down in Richmond, just moved up here. The owners son went to the Pennsylvania School of Gunsmithing, so he is one of only a handful actual gunsmiths in the area. Seemed like a really cool cat. Talked to him about engraving and threading and he said a few weeks they should have everything up and running. Transfer fees are posted on the door when you walk in, which is outfreaking standing! IIRC they where $35 and $75 for a Class III. Very reasonable. they sell cans which is cool and have a complete wall of individually bagged AR parts, which is really nice. Handgun selection was good, and they seem to sell high end products not a lot of junk. They do have nice reactive steel targets for sale in the front. Asked them about reloading stuff, he said that they where thinking about caring the essentials primers and powder which was good. |

It appears that F3 and the new guys are referring customers to each other. I dropped off a pistol today for some work with them. They seem to be well organized. I wasn't shopping, so I can't speak about their prices. What exactly is F3, then? Not a gun shop? |
| I stopped by the other day. The store is clean and it is nice to see a decent selection of AR goodies that you pick up and look at. Handgun selection was decent. Had a couple of DD MK18 uppers too, which is always nice to see. Employees seemed nice. Gunsmithing prices seemed above average. As long as I am getting quality workmanship , I don't mind. Only time will tell. |

They sell some parts but not a wide selection and their prices on gun related items are high in my opinion. F3 seems well liked so maybe their prices on other items are reasonable. |

They do sell gun accessories, Aimpoint and whatnot. I think we're going to see a lot of synergy between the two stores. |

Saw them at Dulles today. Seemed to have really decent stock of pistols, but the prices seemed a bit north. Either way, good to see a new shop. Most pistol prices seemed high at all the dealers during this show. I really only look at SIGs and a few glocks but prices for SIGs seemed to have gone up since the last show. I was surprised. |

I agree, at least on the Sig model I was shopping. I bought a NIB M11A1 online for $779 a week ago. I priced them out at the show yesterday and didn't see one within $100 of that price. I am pretty sure I have seen them for $800 at that show in the recent past. |

I'm a regular customer of F3 and am definitely a fan of their shop. I think the prices are reasonable but more importantly the service is outstanding. Jimmy and Leanna are great people to talk to and their experience is worth every penny you spend there.
They stock very high quality gear. I purchased an AImpoint T1 2moa Micro the day before a class along with a Larue mount. I decided at the last moment I wanted to try the 2moa dot for some longish shots at smaller steel targets. They had the parts in stock and I was able to run my new optic with hardly any notice at all. A few weeks prior I purchased a complete HSGI molle belt with Tacos for pistol and AR magazines, full med kit and a super nice Safariland ALS holster for my Glock 34 with x300. The holster I purchased had been put on an employees belt that morning and he pulled it off and handed it to me brand new. Again, all parts were in stock and I received a lot of good advise on setup. Guys and gals, this type of service is invaluable and again worth every penny you spend there. Since those initial purchases, I have had several dealings with F3 and they have all been favorable. I always receive service with a smile and feel welcome every time I frequent their store. If you like dogs as I do, Bolt the store Mascot will also happily greet you as well. As far as 50 west Armory goes, they are a new and welcome addition to the area. Like F3 they stock very high quality gear. The 2nd day they were open I purchased a Kinetic development rail and stock for my SCAR. Joel is a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to SCAR's and happily answered all of my questions. I paid exact retail for the rail and stock and they were both on the shelf. I was charged a modest $35.00 for the rail install. While looking over my SCAR, Joel noticed that my rifle. like one of his, was a little bit older. Apparently the newer models have an upgraded part to help prevent a brass over bolt issue. My rifle was missing that upgrade so Joel offered to perform the upgrade free of charge with one of his own parts. When he found that he did not have the part needed in his kit, he called FN on my behalf and is having the part mailed to the shop. I was told it would be installed free of charge when it arrives next week. What more can you ask of a business? Things might cost a little bit more when you deal with a local retail shop as opposed to surfing the web to save every penny possible but in my opinion, the level of service offered by these 2 establishments is well worth the slightly higher cost of doing business. If you have yet to visit both of these stores then by all means please do. I think you will find the experience quite enjoyable. |

So I was in there the first time a week or two ago. I have to say it is a GREAT shop, and has a great inventory in a relatively small footprint. It was great to see the accessory/gear options that they have as well as a pretty great inventory - including stuff that isn't overly available yet.
Also the couple guys that were working the counter when I was in there were top notch! -shooter |

Dropped in today. Decent size and products for a small shop. Folks also seemed friendly enough.
I saw some great prices on some accessories, but the NIB M11A1 that I just bought at CDNN for $793 shipped was $1100 there. I understand folks have to pay the rent, but prices like that aren't motivating me to buy locally. Regardless, best of luck to them. More shops are a good thing. We need to bring more people into gun ownership. After their first trip to the range, they'll burn their DNC membership card. |
