Negligent dishcharge
Per an LCSO report, Johnson said he was “practicing trigger pulls” when he shot off the round. Johnson said he thought he had cleared all of the rounds from his gun earlier while he was cleaning it. |

How the hell do you miss a round in a revolver while cleaning it?  Perhaps it was something like a Single Six, where the cylinder does not swing out...and you have to inspect it one chamber at a time while rotating after opening the loading gate. Still though, no excuse. None at all. |
