Refresh my memory, please.

Fingerprints are no longer necessary when applying for a Concealed Weapons Permit, correct?     All thats necessary is a DD214 or safety class certificate and a trip to the Circuit Court Clerks office?   And 35-50 bucks?

Correct.  The GA removed the authority for localities to require fingerprints for CHP applications.  A DD-214 is fine for showing proof of competency and the total application fee can not exceed $50.

If you fill out the application ahead of time, either have it notarized before you go or sign at the clerks office, they will notarize for you.
You will have to redo the application if you show up with it signed and not notarized.

Prints are only required for non resident permits now.

Oh, and don't let the buggers charge you extra for copies, or a stamp, or insist on you supplying an envelope or copies.
