If you join the VCDL do you get a membership card or anything? After the big election lost, I decided to join the VCDL and wondering if you get a membership card or anything in the mail?
Also, do you recommend joining the NRA and VCDL for Virginia? My renewal for the NRA is coming up and I'm not so sure I want to renew it mainly because of their lack of interest in the last election with the Governor race. |

- Circular VCDL logo sticker - Membership card (basically a business card type thing with your number) - other stuff? The stickers are cool and all, but don't join for the schwag. Join because it's the best organization doing the best work fighting to protect our rights. s/swag/schwag

Even though I am a life member, it still doesn't prevent me from occasionally assessing their motives from a different perspective. |

VCDL Member and NRA Life member. Both organizations are worthy of your support. One is your voice on the state level, and the other is your voice on the National level (At least that is how I see it.)
Don't join either for the 'swag'. Join because you want to support the organizations.

I still wish the VCDL would offer a life-time membership. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I have so many memberships to track that having a lifetime membership with VCDL (a state in which I'll likely always live) would be one less to try and remember to renew every year.

Yep, I'm in the same boat, was a little worried. I do understand about volunteer orgs and such.
A thought that might help keep new member anxiety down. Maybe you could send some sort of automated paypal message like "welcome member ABC, please be patient and you will receive a confirmation email, "regular" mail, or something like that. No worries if that isn't feasible. |

Vcdl is the best with their informational emails. I was a member years ago and let it lapse for several years. Joined again at the last Chantilly show and donated more money plus some to the PAC. Going to keep donating money at each show and will make my friend match my donations. |

What happened to the online store? You used to be able to buy "Guns Save Lives" bumper stickers, VCDL patches, etc. |
