I wonder whether the code oof conduct would allow for a posting thread inthe hometown forum of the business you are in and what services you provide, as we all try to do business with industry partners why would it not also be wise to support business' who are like minded and support your fellow arfcom members inn there profession should you need that service. I dont propose anything other than type of business and area you service.. We should be looking out for one another in this economy. Why not offer a Angies list of sorts right here among ourselves.

Pretty sure the hard & fast rule is 'No advertising a business unless you're a site sponsor'.

I think it'd be nice to do as you say, but I doubt it'd fly.

My guess would be because there is already an Angie's List, so why bring another one here?

I'm all for your idea, but that's the response I'm guess would be given.

Not a mod, usually site sponsors can post in HTF.

Anything that could be viewed as advertising is not allowed under most circumstances. There a limited exceptions, but what you describe doesn't sound like it would fit.

We do allow new businesses to post a heads up thread. Plus, if another member asks about X service, you can always say you do that kind of thing.

If you wish to ad your business to the linked thread, you are welcome to do so too.
