| I heard on the news that several gun makers and companies are boycotting anti 2nd admen. governments. This includes all of CA and NY to include police etc etc. Is there a thread tacking which companies are doing this Vs. which ones are not? This was the first I had heard of it and had not seen anything in AR15 reference this. It would be nice if Sig, S&W, and Glock would sign onto this but we all know they won't. |

Here is the thread with the list from GD: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1442105_The_Official_List_of_Companies_Fighting_For_Our_Rights_.html. If you want to send the various manufacturers an email, kind of like the way Ruger set it up so you can email all your various politicians, you can use this form/site: http://www.firearmspolicy.org/take-action/industry/. |

Just an FYI for the VA/WV folks. Anyone is allowed to express their satisfaction/dissatisfaction with a companies stance with regards to sales in prohibited states. What we won't allow are threads that call for or support boycotts of any company because of their choice to sell in those states. We reserve that for people/companies/states that actively work to take our rights away. |

Here is a list of companies that have instituted policies that limit government to purchasing only those things that the great unwashed masses may have: http://www.thepoliceloophole.com/ There are a few well known companies and a lot of never heard ofs. |

I just thought it was a interesting idea and wanted more info. Only reason I posted here was I heard it on a local radio news station and seems the state has a few gun companies located in VA. |

From what I've been told, it's only in reference to companies that choose to still sell stuff in ban states. Since Dick's decided throw gun owners under the bus, I don't believe they are covered by this rule. At the very least, you can say that you won't ever spend a dime in there again. I know I won't be. |
