Just got back from the game. It was awesome!
Lots of fans in attendance. Ended up with a record crowd of 101,851.
So now I'm a part of WVU's record crowd in Morgantown and UT's record crowd.

That was a really good game and one that had me on the edge of my seat for most if not all of it. I think all the games are going to be like this the rest of the season. This weekends game against Texas Tech will be just as tough as the Texas game. I have seen Texas Tech upset a lot of really good teams.

I like that Gino doesnt get rattled and can stay in the pocket or run with it. I wonder if the Dallas Cowboys has him on their radar to replace Toney (can't get the job done) Romo. I sure hope so!

I know one thing, they keep winning, there going to need the National Gaurd brought in, in Mo-town.  They had a fucking riot after last weeks win.  Police in full riot gear, 35 fires set.  The Mayor up there is very pissed, and they are considering charging all WVU students a $20 fee to help hire more LEO's to keep there asses under control

Its not like that is a new problem. And if you want to catch who set the fires, just go to the thrift stores the next day and see who is buying couches. I know a couple folks who had to do that multiple times during football season.

They need to designate an area, like the pit, for post-victory couch bonfires and celebrating. Make it a sanctioned school tradition instead of riots on the street.

I have to agree that this is the only feasible solution.  They've tried making it more illegal and increasing police presence.  They've tried using more pepper spray and even dogs in body armor.  The city and school need to work with the students and channel their celebratory activities.

It's not just couches.  I remember back in 2003 or 2004, a group of students ripped the front porch off a house and burnt it in front of Summit.

I was a freshman that year. I don't remember the porch, but I was there for some crazy Sunnyside celebrations and have no doubt it happened

Nice.  I was a bouncer at Speedys/Phantoms/ClubZ and cashier at the Supperette around that time.  Probably sold you beer with a crappy NJ id

I'm from the "pit" and Grant Ave "block party" era.

Both of those are long gone now, but, I don't remember any of this "unsanctioned" raucousness like we have now.  Sure, it was going on, I just don't remember it being to the extremes it is today.
