So my new 6.8 upper is enroute. Currently I have one SBR, one middy and one varmint set ups. The 6.8 upper is going onto the varmint lower (CavArms MKII).
I want to have a camo job done on both the varmint and 6.8 uppers but matching them to the lower is an issue I see. So should I just go out and get another CavArms lower? And who in NoVA has them in stock? Or who locally can do a camo job that will match both uppers with the lower. (i.e. look like it was painted all as one regardless of which upper is on.) Just thinking out loud and asking for some advice. TIA |

There is someone on vaguntrader that does duracoating and he posted some pics although I don't remember where he is located. The work looked pretty good though from what I remember.
Personally I'd get another lower. I can understand using a lower for multiple uppers to save some cash but I still end up throwing together another lower for the gun. I figure I'd rather have 2 guns instead of one if they ever try to do another assualt weapons ban. Besides it is easy to spread out the cost of a lower although in my case I prefer the standard lowers and not the cavarms one. Buy the lower then buy a parts kit when you have some extra money and in my case pick up a stock with parts when the funds come up for it. |

You're probably asking the wrong folks. Posing that question here is like having Britney Spears as your AA counselor and Lindsay Lohan as your social worker. The ARFCOM answer is of course to get another lower. ![]() Hehe, but seriously, a new lower gives you an extra gun. Do that. |
