Wow.  A poll shows him ahead.

IT'S ALL OVER, MAN!  WE SHOULDN'T EVEN TRY!!

ooooooooorrrrrrrrrr I could also take a "random sample" of people and show that Deeds has 100% of the vote.  I'm in Arlington, but so what?  I randomly picked people I saw.

At the Starbucks.

Wearing Obama shirts.

Ordering half-caff triple skim lattes.

With Chihuahua's in their purse.

That were men.

Hey!  Random's random!  It's a fair poll!!!  Don't tell me it's not, you RACIST!!

If you think it is all over now then I can't help you.

It is a marathon, not a sprint.

Did you vote in the primary?

Were you a delegate for any R down in Richmond?

Or are you one of those who just sit and bitch at everyone else who actually gets involved in the early stages of the game?

It is five months to the election.  That is a lifetime in politics.  It should be another close race unless one of the candidates puts his foot in his mouth.  The result of the election will depend on the voter turnout in November.

I admit I did the "deeds" tuesday.

And while, yes... It could backfire on us...

1.  It wasn't too long ago that deeds was the "dark horse" in 3rd place with NO chance of beating McCauliffe's million$ in donations and personal connections. Being the underdog winner in the spotlight gives him a "bump" in the polls that won't last long once the fight with McDonnell starts.

2.  Just in case McDonnell does something stupid (macaca?) and his opponent becomes a shoe-in, Deed's record on guns is much better than mccauliffe's.

Never said it was all over and while yes it is a long time to election I have this ominous feeling that we are going to lose and Deeds will be moving in the governor's mansion.

Someone said the other day on a thread about the primary that with Deeds the Dems will win the general election with Southwest VA and Northern VA and I tend to agree with them.

Without at least one of those areas McDonnell is toast.  Does anyone think different, if so why?

McDonnell might have a chance in the Southwest but there is no way we get any headway in NVA.  The automatons up there would vote for and Dem on the ticket.  In the southwest I think it is going to go for Deeds since he is a local boy and there are a hell of a lot of good ole boy Democrats that still think FDR was the second coming of God.

On a side note I will not trust Deeds.  With they softening he has shown recently on the gun issues I think he is moving right into the typical Dem playbook and will be just as disappointing some of our recent Govs!

Up until that recent poll, ALL of the polls showed McDonnel beating ALL of the Dem candidates easily.

We have a long way to go.

Yes that is very interesting to see how polling numbers changed so much.  I wonder what changed folk's minds or what is influencing them now.  I think one thing was no one really new who Deeds was and now they have a better idea in other parts of the state rather just his hometurf area.

Mcdonell's campaign better start getting motivated.

Yes I did vote in the primary on tuesday and it was for one of the few districts that had a Delegate race so no voting in the dem's primary for me.  And no I wasn't a delgate at the convention our spots wre filled already.

And yeah I am gonna bitch because voting for what some percieve as the more palatable opponent is what has gotten us to where we are today with regards to most of the politicians that serve us.  Those opponents in 99% of the cases turn out to be no friends to our cause
