About two years ago, I think. Right around the time they pulled out the pistol lanes. Rationale was that the range was there for sight-in purposes for hunters rather than for rec-fire. bingo. bastards......they pulled that march-september stuff at the amelia wma a year or two before that. amelia was closer, but didn't have a pistol side - so i'd head out to chickahominy. now im SOL. |

I was there too...I couldn't believe it. Drove from Chester over an hour. Something needs to be done about that BS. Our tax dollars pay for that place, what right do they have to close it just because? It's sitting there collecting dust...such BS Edited to say that I was there Sat. |

We need to find out who are our state representatives who oversee funding for state wildlife management areas and start sending letters and emails concerning the range closing 6 months out of the year. I agree, and I have no idea how to do that...I could write Steven Martin (my rep here) and see if he could help or point me oin the right direction. I'll do that. |
