I've got an RCA 26" (I think) TV that I just replaced with a flat screen, and before I toss this thing I figured I'd ask here if anyone wants it.  The cable input is broken, and I've been using it as a dedicated movie watching TV for a few years now.  I figured maybe someone can use this for a kid's room or something that they can watch movies on but not cable TV.  I'm in Alexandria to pick up.

(Please, if you intend to use this for target practice, leave it for someone who might get actual use out of it )

This should probably be in the EE but also try posting on CL because there are lots of people who just look around for free stuff.  Also if you are going to toss it, take it somewhere that does tech recycling––I think most Best Buy stores will take it.

That's generous of you! These are good TVs. I bought the same TV in 1990 and we are still using it! We've worn out two remotes though over the years.

We considered replacing it, but it works well with a converter box. (We don't have cable.) So we'll hang on to it.

He's right!  Perfect for a kids room TV!

put it on the curb with a paper sign with the word FREE hand written on it.  That TV will be gone before the morning, no questions asked.

Is there a way to use this without getting bombed with 14 billion emails a second?  I have some stuff I'd be happy to give away, but when I tried this system a while back I was so buried email I couldn't cancel it fast enough.
