Anyone go on Friday?

http://www.nationsoutdoorshow.com/

I went to one while I was in St. Louis and because of the proximity they had a large number of manufacturers which made it a worthwhile visit.  I am looking to see if this is the same or if it just a gunshow by another name.

Thanks

I went there today, and took my 13 year old nephew as well.

Ran into a couple of old friends I've met over the years at different shows and gun stores.  I talked to one guy who sells artwork by an artist Jesse Ray...I first met him in 1999 at an outdoor show in Richmond.  He tells me that the old outdoor show that was in Chantilly was run into the ground by the old promoter and that C&E is trying hard to get the show back up and running.  The show is a little bigger this year than last and will be bigger next year as well.

I saw a couple of cool exhibits (the dogs from Deep Run Farm in Goldvein were awesome to watch the people were very friendly) and a couple of tables with guns/ammo.  Jerry's was there hawking his inventory...as always a bit pricey on some items, but folks were buying nonetheless.  There was a pretty hot brunette from some shop in the Outer Banks - they had a ton of Glock gadgets, stickers, frisbees and such.  She talked me into buying one of the Glock knives (but only after I talked her into taking $10 off).

A fair number of guide service companys - 1 in Alaska that was pretty friendly for fishing.

Was it worth $10 to get into the door - probably not, but it gave me and the kid something to do for 2 hours and kept us out of the cold.

If the kid had a good time, that's all that matters.

Most kids I encounter in the northern VA area could not care less about that sort of outing.

Too bad really.
