We will be holding an introductory handgun class this coming Sunday (12/14) from 9am - 2pm at the Blue Ridge Shooter's Club just outside of Lexington, Va.
Topics covered will include: firearms safety, handgun parts, nomenclature, and operation, the fundamentals of marksmanship. eye dominance, ammunition types, operating the handgun, care and cleaning for the handgun, safe storage, and additional training opportunities. You will need a handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition, ear and eye protection, food and something to drink for the breaks, a baseball style hat (or hat with a brim), and clothing suitable for the weather of the day. The cost of the class is $50 and it satisfies Virginia's requirement of training for the purpose of obtaining a concealed handgun permit.
