| #1 Son and I went out to fire off a few rounds at The Range in Stafford. I'd bought a Sig Mosquito a day earlier, to help teach #2 young son the fundamentals, and brought it along with my Kimber Tactical Pro II, as well as renting their MP5. The range was packed, lots of folks enjoying a day off shooting. Everything was going fine, until we fired the Sig. A consistent failure to feed problem. The Sig only comes with one mag, so we had a lot of practice clearing the weapon. I took it back to Quantico to find out all sales are final and I have to deal with Sig direct. No problem, I'm sure they will make it right, but we went looking for mags and couldn't find a one in this area. I guess the Sig will be out-of-action for a while. Rest of the shooting went well though...... |
| Those Mosquitoes can be problematic. In the future you may want to consider that some dealers will work with you when something you bought from them isn't right. VA Arms, for example, will take the gun in (whether you bought it new or used) and send it to the factory at no cost or trouble to you. |
Now that is service, most around here will ask you to send it directly to the manufacture, |
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to clean and lube it as well as try the lighter spring, but I think it could really be a bad mag. I might be able to get back to the range today to see..... |
