The keg-o-rator went dry last night, therefore there will not be Octoberfest this weekend.

However, our state-of-the art logistics system sprung into action and we are getting a keg of Sam Adam's Winter Lager delivered today!

We also have lots of red plastic cups!

Update:

Keg of Winter Lager on deck.  Have an extra CO2 tank as well.

Keg-O-Rator field stripped and soaking with CamelBak Cleaning Tablets.

Will update when reassembled and working.

You all have more trouble with beer!  I remember last year for the USMC birthday, you tapped a keg of Winter Lager and it was skunky.  You might want to check this keg to make sure it's still good.

Oh, and in the future, you might want to try Blue & Gray beers.  They're great stuff and brewed right down in Fredericksburg.  You can't get much fresher than that.  I've been a customer of theirs for months now and I've always been extremely pleased with all their products.  MJD

That's right...I remember...That was a keg that had sat at the distributor for a YEAR!  Maybe they just gave the same keg back to us

As for checking it out, I plan too NLT 1600!

Thanks for the tips on Blue and Gray.  Do they have a storefront where I can go and sample their brews?

Even better, they have a brewery!  They do tours and tastings every Saturday.  They also have retail hours at least 3 days a week.  Go here: Blue & Gray Brewing.  You won't be disappointed, and you'll help support a Virginia based business.  Oh, and I am not connected to the brewery in any way, other than being a satisfied consumer that wants to see the business grow.  MJD

Why the 4:30pm start?

We want some cold beer with our brats, dammit!
