nope, pocket carry either all natural or with a pocket holster.

my dad had an old school style handgrip on a Colt Detective that is clipdrawesque. I guess he used that as his backup gun, though personally it strikes me as very unstable.

I used a rubber band, grip retention on my Colt Dick Special for a long time and it worked well. The advantage of Clipdraw (IMO) is the lack of extra width/girth. I am thin enough too carry appendix with no problems which might make a difference?

i'm just going from what he told me, and honestly i know there was definitely a lack of good leather back then to keep weapons in, it all had to be custom for the most part (late 60's early 70's). Hope it works out for you bro.
