VT Panel meeting details ***************************************************** Let's have a good turnout at this event and let the panel hear that armed adult students with CHPs could help prevent future massacres! The meeting is being held: Monday, June 11 2007 - Time: 9:00 a.m. Mason Hall on the George Mason University (GMU) campus 4400 University Dr Fairfax, Virginia According to the VT Review Panel web site, the public comment period will run from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. You should be able to sign up at the meeting. For Monday's agenda, see: http://vtreviewpanel.org/news/2007/061107_2.html Since we will be asking the Panel to allow adult students with CHPs to be allowed to carry concealed on campus, it might be wise if we set an example to show just how unobtrusive concealed carry can be. (GMU's 'no gun' policy only applies to students and staff of GMU.) In addition, speakers should plan on keeping their comments short and too the point. Try to keep your comments to just one or two minutes in length. BTW, here is a carjacking that happened at gun-free VCU yesterday: http://www.vcu.edu/alert/ June 5, 2007 To the VCU and VCU Medical Center Communities: About 1:00 p.m. today (Tuesday), VCU Police arrested two suspects in a carjacking that occurred in the parking deck of the Broad and Belvidere Student Apartments an hour and a half earlier. Two female students, who were victims of the carjacking, were not injured. VCU Police say that the suspect apparently slipped into the deck when the gate opened for the car to enter. When the students parked, the suspect approached the driver with a gun. VCU Police tracked the car to south Richmond and found three persons inside, including the suspected carjacker. The carjacker and one passenger were arrested. The second passenger fled, and is being sought by VCU Police and Richmond Police. The suspected carjacker was identified as Alfonza Greenhill, 23, of Richmond. He has been charged with carjacking, robbery and brandishing a firearm. The other individual arrested, a 17-year-old juvenile, has not yet been charged. The safety of our campus and our surrounding neighborhoods is our top priority. The aggressive efforts of the VCU Police led to a quick arrest of the suspects and recovery of the vehicle. Please contact the VCU Police at 828-1234 if you need their assistance at any time. Sincerely, John M. Bennett Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration ***************************************************** 2. Million Mean-spirited Moms disrupt their own meeting because of pro-gun video cameras! ***************************************************** In the last few alerts, I have been saying how mean-spirited the anti-gunners are. And they have just helped me make my point and I have video to prove it! The Northern Virginia Million Mom Marchers (all 5 or 6 of them), had a public meeting in a public library earlier this week. Several gun owners, including some VCDL members, showed up to hear what the speakers were going to say. All the gun owners were either carrying concealed or not carrying at all, and two brought video cameras. The MMM representative tried to get the gun owners to turn off their cameras or sign the following agreement: I agree that any photographic representations recorded at this meeting will be used solely by me for my private use and will not be copied, or made available to any other person or organization without the prior consent of the Northern Virginia Million Mom March." A gun owner declined to sign the hastily written waiver. That's where things got nasty. The MMMs told the people attending the meeting [half of which were gun owners ;-)] that the meeting was going to be cancelled because the gun owners were INTIMIDATING the MMM's speakers with their video cameras!!! (I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted to.) Sorry, MMMs, but you disrupted your own meeting. The person who didn't sign the agreement was then disparaged by saying he had a small penis (the comment is caught on the video below). Could you imagine if I shutdown a VCDL meeting because an anti-gunner brought a video recorder and then disparaged her by commenting on the spacious size of her rump? Egads. What were they going to say that they didn't want to be held accountable for? There was a uniformed Fairfax police officer in the room. Was he providing security (!) or was he going to speak (!)? Here are some quotes that show the kind of people that make up the MMMs: "We have been threatened by them [gun owners] so many times. And abused and badgered by them so many times that it is nothing to us." [Threatened and abused? Oh, please. Laughed at, yes. - PVC] "Can they tape with us standing in front of the camera? I mean legally we can do that." "We apologize for him [the gun owner who wouldn't sign the MMM's agreement]." "He can't help it. His penis size is too small." "Permission to call him an asshole?" Here are the videos - rated H for hateful: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZAsyrBTvN2g http://youtube.com/watch?v=Lc8uXTfpdHM http://youtube.com/watch?v=-CnDvnPFzL0 and more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOg1pEnddwM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq1h8_Y0P7M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-cD-H3s7aQ ***************************************************** 3. Anyone have VT massacre footage for Geraldo (Fox News) 11 PM, April 16th? ***************************************************** If you have video of Geraldo of Fox News talking about a student who he said was the VT murderer based on that student's entry in Facebook showing him to be oriental and a gun owner, please contact me ASAP. It was aired on Fox News at 11 PM on April 16th. ***************************************************** 4. Second call - have you received a ticket or had a gun confiscated at a National Park? ***************************************************** If you have ever received a ticket or had guns confiscated because you had a firearm in your car while on National Park land, please contact me ASAP. I know there are at least three people who have contacted me about this over the last year, but I can't find my notes. *************************************************************************** VA-ALERT is a project of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc.
