No, I didn't have one. I have though seen several since I have recently started commuting during rush hour to and from work. I drive from Va. Beach to Hampton or Newport News one way 46 miles. It's not that bad in the morning if I leave at 6am. I get to work in about 40-50 min. In the afternoon it's usually an hour commute as long as I leave at 4pm. Any later and it'll be an hour and a half. Now the thing that kills me (besides the people doing 55 in the left hand lane when there is plenty of space available in the right) is people who get into fender benders. I mean there is minimal damage, just one car rear ending another. It's not hard to figure out what the hell happened. Move the cars so you're not creating a traffic hazard and a back-up. I moved back to Va. Beach in 2000 after I got out of the Marines. And I remember in the news (I think not too long after I got here) about a law that had passed requiring people to move their vehicles out of traffic if there were no injuries and/or if the damage was minor. I've looked for this law but have not been able to find it. Does anyone know if that is the case? Know the code? |
