I just got denied for a concealed weapons permit and have bought two handguns and a rifle within the past few months.  The only violations I have on my record are speeding tickets.  Does anyone know why I would have been denied?  Is this a paper work flaw or am I missing something?

Where did you apply? Did you file a protest? Take alook at your paperwork and make sure everything is correct. Dot the i's and cross the t's. Did you go through the CHP class.

If Your Application is Denied
Any order denying issuance of the permit shall state the basis for the denial of the permit and the applicant's right to and the requirements for perfecting an appeal of such order

See the VSP CHP page.  It has a section about this half way down.

Good luck

I had the same thing happen a couple of months back.  I forgot to include my weight on my application.  They denied it but gave me ten days to showup at the court house in person.  I was waiting for them to break out the fish scale but all they wanted was a seperate piece of paper with my weight written on it that they then notarized.  I got the permit about two weeks later.

I mean I took the class, presented the certificate and Im going to the courts to check out what happened.  I mean the clerk in my district checked the paper work and she said that it was all good to go, I guess  I might have missed something.
