I work for Sauls Seismic, Inc and we are a seismic monitoring company for blasting at quarries and construction sites. We currently have an opening in our NOVA Office. Applicants should possess strong character, excellent people skills, not easily frustrated, able to handle a variety of duties, self-motivated and able to work alone with little supervision. Must be a go getter, and not afraid of new challenges. We are willing to train the right person, so no experience necessary. Computer Proficiency is a huge plus because all of our work is done on computers. Strong troubleshooting skills is a plus as well. We are successful because we believe in the power of building relationships with our clients. If you are currently in need of a job or would like a career change, and this sounds appealing please send an email to [email protected]. Salary ranges from 30K to 45K with the potential to make more. If you are a career minded individual looking for a change, then please contact me. We are looking to fill ASAP. We hired Templar from this site for our richmond office in December, and we are looking to expand our NOVA office. |

Most of the work is done at quarries where we have permanent seismographs setup. You drive to each location, download the seismographs, print out the reports, talk with the plant manager or pit forman, Leave go to the next location. Or you may have to setup a seismograph at a neighbor complaint house, so you'll have to be there when they actually shoot. Or if you are doing construction work, then you may have to do a preblast survey, take photos of exisiting cracks in homes where they are blasting nearby, then you will have to setup seismograph at the home when they shoot. We have an office in Winchester, Va, but we all work out of our homes and our vehicles, so it doesn't matter where you live. Territory includes: VA-Lorton, Leesburg, Manassas, Warrenton, Culpeper, Bealeton, Stafford, MD-Williamsport, Boonsboro, Rockville WV-Charles Town (1 quarry) PA-Hanover (1 quarry) |

Some of the other fringe benefits include Free DSL at home, Free Cell Phone, Free $300 GPS Garmin Legend C, Free Laptop & Printer, any cool Tech Item that you can call a work expense (I currently have the National Broadband Access card so I can have internet in my truck). I'm gathering emails from interested people, and will be contacting them shortly. Plus you get to pretty much work alone all day long out of your car. No office to report to, work at different locations daily, |
No kidding.... that'd be sweet, but like LRT said, it'd be a paycut.... plus my clearances are current, and 'the powers that be' have shut down processing new ones (money squabbles), so they're worth keeping..... Sounds like a good chance for any of you guys starting out, or wanting to switch careers |
