Quick question... I'm about to move oh around 10  minutes away from where I live now, but it will put me in a different county. Do I need to get a new CHP from the new county, or will mine be ok til renewal time?

Just curious!

There are presently no rules about changing addresses.
The permit remains good.

I wouldn't worry about it, particularly if you are anywhere near renewal time anyway.  Just make sure you change your driver's license within 30 days.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but you won't be able to use the CHP as a second ID when purchasing a firearm cause you'll have different addresses.

You don't need a new license until it is time to renew.  The license is for the entire state but is issued by the county of residence.

That is correct.  I had to wait until it was time to renew when I moved.
