How do I get them to stop calling me? My wife gave them money one time three years ago. Since then I'd reckon we get 3 phone calls a week, average, from them. They are the only "telemarketer" left that calls. |
I've tried several times. I keep getting the response, "I have never called you before." To which I respond, "You haven't, but your organization has." The past week or so has been really bad, a call every night. I've got caller ID, so I tried ignoring them. They won't go away. |

FOP - Fraternal Order of Police? If so, are you really sure they are in fact the FOP? I got scammed several years ago by a company claiming to represent the Fairfax Sheriff Dept. I fell for it. I placed a call a couple of days later to the Sheriff's Office because it was bugging me and discoverd they were not collecting donations over the phone and hadn't authorized any company to do so in their name. It could be somthing similar. |
+1 They called me last night... Caller ID says "Unknown Name - Unknown Number" I usually just let it ring, but they called just before 9pm..... I answered "What the hell are you doing calling my home this late?" after an extended silence.... "Uh, hello Mr [xxxx]......" |
I usually let them talk to my couch cushions. They call and start the spiel, I set the handset on the couch and walk away for a minute or two. Come back and they are gone. I don't have to listen, they get to talk (and waste their time), and I don't get pissed. Everyone wins!
