thanks for your inquiry regarding the Chickahominy shooting range. We anticipate opening the range by November 15th. Visit our website for an announcment in the next week or so.

I know me too, Its the closest range to me here in newport news. I hope that have an area that you can do free hand shooting with my no-ban AR

The web sight said it will be open starting the 6th of november.

It is open. I went there today. Just go to the VDGIF website and they will give you directions. Also, check the hours of operation.

It seems that the range will have some electric power now. As most of you guys know, there have been numerous acts of vandalism by shooters. They are in the process of placing surveillance cameras on posts at the range. It is a shame that a small minority make it difficult for us all!

I went to the range this morning and It was nice. A lot of M1's and FAL. I tried out my No-Ban MEGA M-4 and It shot great. I hope to go back once more before I move next month.
