Anyone know of one in the Herndon area? Looking for s school to teach to ride and help get motorcycle license. Thanks. |
www.learn2ride.com/flash/index.html check out the one in sterling. i see these guys in the NOVA campus every sunday during summer. Its not that hard to get a liscense (more like some figure of 8's in the parking lot, 12 years ago when i got mine) but from what i've heard, the class is well worth it. I used to ride a lot, but not too much anymore, thinking of selling my bike this summer.. DD |
i have a 93 Yam 600 SECA II. It's a decent entry level bike - not too fast to get me in trouble. I used to comute with it to DC on 66 (HOV free)for years, but not anymore. It's been relegated to giving my kids (and the neighbors' too) rides around the neighborhood. www.msf-usa.org/index_new.cfm this linky gives more info on the courses and stuff. What kind of bike are you looking for? Gotta factor insurance in it too. I pay less than a hundred for mine(comprehensive) but then i am 43 years old. DD |
Well, right now I live in an apartment and owning my own bike would require getting storage somewhere else due to parking constraints. But I have friends with bikes, and I have heard about rental places where I can rent a bike for a days cruise and then return it. So I am looking to get my license in order to ride friends bikes and rent one on occation. of course I give that about 3-4 months before I can't stand not owning my own. I am a big guy so I probably require a minimum of 400cc. I don't like sport type bikes much. I like cruiser types. |
