I just got back from Richmond after attending a meeting of the House of Delegates Committee on Militia, Police and Public Safety. The topic of interest was SB660. There were probably 20 pro-gun folks in attendance (with VCDL being the big encourager), and the bill has been improved some in the past few days. I think it now looks like the bill contains some good and some bad. I'll wait to see how VCDL summarizes today's meeting, but it could be one of those we won / we lost debates like we have with the AWB/Liability bill. Edited to add that it was a cool sight to see several average folks open carrying. I'm sure several more were carrying concealed - even one of the delegates implied he was. |
