any places holding smallbore silhouette competitions here in VA? Especially ones that would be open to anyone.

Thanks!

Would you be interested in smallbore silhouette if it was of the cowboy rifle type?

A large majority of my customers are cowboy action shooters and I have heard of at least one club in VA that does the smallbore silhouette competitions.  I believe they limit the rifles to pre 1899 or replica's there of.  This would include all new lever-action .22 that even "look" cowboy.  If you're interested I can send out some emails and see what come back.  Oh yeah...you might have to wear a cowboy hat.  There is also categories for larger pistol caliber rifles and large bore rifles.  My 1886 Winchester in 45-70 is a blast to shoot at steel.

Thanks Steve, I am looking into this for someone from the local range. I will have to ask him if the cowbay action stuff would fit his needs, and let you know.

Steve,
Do you mind posting the emails here?  I and I am sure some others are interested in this as well.

A Macey White over in Matthews County runs them. Also the club in Suffolk does them two, forget the name though. I've been to the one in Matthews County, nice place, and people.
