You think Rauner has a chance at winning the general again?

Rauner stepped in it when he signed the bill allowing illegal immigrants to remain in Illinois while protecting them from enforcement on their illegal status by Illinois LEO.  I haven't found one person in our area who supports the bill.  

He lost a tremendous amount of political and monetary support in central Illinois.  People I know have recently been receiving mailers for campaign contributions.  Each of those who donated hundreds of dollars to support Rauner in the past will not donate one thin dime.

Crap. Unless Rauner can pull it off or somehow we replace him with another candidate, we're probably going to get a socialist or more of the Chicago machine.

I predict J.B. Pritzker will be the next Governor of Illinois.

Rauner has managed to piss off......every single group/person in the state, so I'd venture to say he is as done as a 1" steak on an 800 degree grill for 20 minutes.

Up until the "Sanctuary" bill, I have agreed with just about everything he has done and tried to do.
We tried to tell his people it was a problem.
The bigger problem is those folks that think we will just toss him away and get a better guy.  If he goes, he will be replaced with a liberal Democrat.  That will mean it will take super-majorities to pass pro-gun issues and a simple majority to pass anti-gun issues.
It takes someone with Rauner's money to get elected to that office.  I think he is a good guy...I just hate the bill he signed.
