| I'm taking the wife to the Sprint Cup race there. Having never been there,any suggestions as to what time to get there,alt route,etc. I'm coming from Elgin. TIA |

Traffic can be an issue. There are several alternate routes. Would suggest a good traffic
app and play it by ear the day of the race. I-80 to Rt 53, or I-55 to arsenal RD to Rt 53, are the two basic choices. The first comes into the track from the north, and the second comes in from a few miles south, but may be less jammed up w traffic. |

In case you don't have the schedule: Parking lots open at 7. Gates and Fan Zone open at 9. Pre-race concert at noon. 2 pm race.
