I will be travel to Joliet for work. What, if any, firearm can I bring legally? It appears I can CCW, with my SC permit, all the way until I get to IL.  What are the rules in IL for magazine capacity and storage in a car?

If you are legal to conceal carry in your home state, you can transport your loaded handgun in your vehicle throughout the state except for nuclear facilities...you can't legally carry loaded outside your vehicle.  There are no restrictions on magazines.

No concealed carry--transport unloaded and enclosed in a case with no restriction where the ammo or magazines are carried.

Stay West of Raynor Ave and you probably wont have to worry about being armed

Joliet has a dicey reputation, but as long as you stay out of the East side at night, and
use you head, you shouldn't have any problems.

You will actually be able to legally carry loaded in your vehicle with an out-of-state license
before any IL resident will, we can't apply for CCW until January.
